On Tuesday evening Ferrari hosted a private dinner for video artist Marco Brambilla at The Standard Hotel (whose elevators have featured a Brambilla video, "Civilization", running on two screens since it's opening a few years ago). Ferrari selected the hotel’s Highline Room to unveil Brambilla's new 3-D kaleidoscopic mash-up single-channel video installations. Party-goers donned 3D glasses while Brambilla's new video, "RPM", was played on a two-minute loop throughout the night. The piece features a blinding array of spliced-together photographs that serve as a psychological portrait of a Formula One racer. The director photographed the myriad images composing the short film at the Italian Formula One Grand Prix in Monza.

Last night at the Pierre Hotel in New York City David LaChapelle was awarded "Artist of the Year" by the American Friends of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art (AFTAM). The HSI director was honored for his dedication and exceptional contribution to the visual arts. LaChapelle generously donated a limited edition print to mark the occasion, the proceeds of which will benefit the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, home to the largest collection of Israeli art in the world.
